It seems that filming has finished in the UK and Malta for the new action thriller "Mutiny" by Jason Statham, the strongest muscular actor known for the "Fast and Furious" and "Expendables" series. Deadline reported. "Mutiny" is a story about Cole Reid, played by Statham, who goes on the run after his billionaire businessman boss is killed in front of him, and becomes embroiled in an international conspiracy. The film will be directed by Jean-François Richet, a French director known for his spectacular action scenes, such as "Assault on Precinct 13" (2005), a remake of "Assault on Precinct 13" (1973) starring Ethan Hawke, and "Lost Flight" (2023) starring Gerard Butler.
With the completion of filming, new cast information was also revealed. Roland Murer, a Danish actor, plays the evil mastermind who is Reed's enemy. He has been well-received for his role as a Danish sergeant in the Academy Award-nominated film "What Hitler Forgot" (2015), and is known as a talented actor who has also worked in Hollywood, such as "Atomic Blonde" (2017) and the TV series "Citadel". Also appearing in the film are Lithuanian actor Arnas Fedaravicias, who has appeared in TV dramas such as "The Last Kingdom" and "Wheel of Time", and Adrian Lester, the star of the crime comedy series "The Great Swindlers".
The details of the roles of the three actors have not been revealed, but it will be interesting to see how Statham will demonstrate his strength in front of his co-stars who boast diverse backgrounds. As of May 2024, it has been revealed that Shochiku will be distributing the film in Japan based on a contract with production company MadRiverPictures. We look forward to more details, such as release information.
Other works starring Statham include "The Beekeeper," which has been highly praised as the ultimate revenge movie, and is scheduled to be released in Japan on January 3, 2025, and is sure to heat up the new year. Statham is always facing new enemies, such as "Levon's Trade," in which he reunites with Sylvester Stallone, who co-starred with him in the "Expendables" series, and a new movie by the director of "Everest 3D." We hope he continues to surpass his limits.
