Ian McShane, who played Winston in the John Wick films, has expressed his sadness for his late co-star Lance Reddick. Reddick and Shane worked closely together in the Keanu Reeves-led action franchise and are set to appear together one last time in Ballerina.

“Because [Reddick] is no longer with us, another one I’m going to miss terribly,” McShane said, per Entertainment Weekly, speaking of his on-screen criminal spouse at the John Wick 10th anniversary screening in Los Angeles. “But we have Ballerina coming out, where [we’ll see him] for the last time, we have that together. I thought we made a great duo in a way. It was great, his relationship is different than mine with Keanu’s character. My moments with him, I think, I’ll remember [the most].”

Who was Lance Reddick in the franchise?
Lance Reddick, known to many as Charon in the John Wick franchise, was an employee of the Continental, a hotel and safehouse for underworld agents. Although he wasn’t as famous as his co-stars, he had a huge run, particularly on the small screen and in video games. Reddick rose to fame in HBO’s The Wire, where he played Lieutenant Cedric Daniels. He went on to play several leading roles on television, including Philip Broyles in J.J. Abrams’ cult classic Fringe.
Reddick has become a staple of science fiction, lending his voice and likeness to the role of Sylens in Sony’s Horizon video game series.
