In particular, the base of the British Embassy was rebuilt at RAF Halton, while Kate's scene in the bathroom of a Parisian hotel was filmed at the London Marriott Hotel County Hall. This creative use of locations allowed production costs to be kept down without sacrificing the elegance of the Parisian settings.
Blenheim Palace and Wilton House, Salisbury: Prime Minister's Gala Dinner
The final episode of the second season ends with a formal dinner filmed at the historic Wilton House, with exterior and interior scenes also shot at Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Winston Churchill.
